Painting Rear Apron/Fascia
Interested in thoughts on painting the rear apron, which is offered as part of the exterior paint package. I like the look of it being the same color as the body (instead of black), but I wonder whether it's likely to show a lot of wear, chips, etc. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

Mine is factory painted, white. It's still perfect after 39,000 miles. What color is your car? I think it works great for light colored cars. Dark colors like black and blue don't really benefit from the painted rear fascia, IMO.

Mine is factory painted platinum silver and still looks great after 61K miles.
I think the exhaust does a great job of rock/debris deflection.
Are the black OEM ones paintable or do you have to buy one that's prepped/smooth for paint?

Did mine after delivery using the OEM piece. Painted professionally by our local high end body shop. No chips or scuffing.
