I'm with you. I've tried the leaf blower method and found it to be more work than the waffle towels. If you use the blower outside you need to rush it as the sun is beating down and drying. If you use it in the garage, it blows water all over the place, including the cars that I just washed. Plus, the garage ends up smelling like a motocross race was held there. Oh, and when I'm all done, I get to break out the towels anyway to finish the job - made harder because water is now in places that would only be if I had blasted down the Autobahn during Noah's Flood.

I have the master blaster, but I don't have a spare electrical circuit with a cb large enough to use both heaters on it.

I use my air compressor with a blower nozzle each time I detail cars. With a detailers towel, there is usually no wiping involved. just from the top down and inside crevices. That said, I wouldn't go and buy an air compressor for this express purpose, but its handy having it around for detailing on top of the many wheel removals, brake jobs, and exhaust work tasks I do on a yearly basis.

I used a big powerful leaf blower for years. Then it got stolen. Just replaced it with an EZGO electric and I'll never go back. $200, plenty of power, light weight, quieter, and plenty of battery life.

Leaf blowers are for leaves.

The Master Blaster has a more narrow air stream that gets water out of all crevices (unlike a leaf blower). The kind of water runs you get after that first drive that you hate.

Master Blaster and CR-Spotless. The latter really keeps you from having to dry the car.

I use my leaf blower to get the bulk of the water off the main surfaces and from cracks and crevices, followed by towel dry. then I blast the cracks and crevices along with lug bolt holes with my air compressor, followed by one last pass with the towel.

Gotta respectfully disagree with you on this one STG. If you were closer I'd have to challenge you to a car drying competition! Your vacuum cleaner hooked up backward would get smoked by my $49 Sears leaf blower.

Why are you washing your car in the direct sun? Recipe for water spots, especially if you have remotely hard water.

I always wash at dusk, right after the sun has fallen below the treeline. Blow the water off with a blower, which takes almost all the water off the entire car. Then use microfiber towels to get the rest. Zero water spots and super quick. Other to making it quick and easy is a good paint coating like OptiCoat, CQuartz, Modesta, etc. The water just flies off my car when I use the blower.
