OMG...I am at Katie's Car and Coffee almost every Saturday. I never knew about this shop.

People taking exotics to local oil change shop!!! Wow.

Do they do a good job? I would like to go there for my VA annual safety inspection check (it is a stupid tax, and you all know it).

I go to Porsche of Tysons. They do free state inspections.

Did they use a high speed balance while mounting your tires?

Also, I would take it back and get the wheels torque checked at 118 ft-lbs. (check your manual but I believe that is what it is). Too much torque will elongate your studs and lead to premature failure of the studs, too little torque could lead to a really bad condition.

I am very pro INDY, not sure about the service stations.

If you are going to do this, I would recommend giving them the right oil, oil filter, o-ring, torque specs for the wheels and ensure they have a high speed balance.

My 2 cents.

Rockville Porsche used Pennzoil 5w-40 Synthetic for my last oil change. How bad is this oil relative to Mobile 1?

Just as bad. Still Porsche A40 approved. Less expensive vs Mobil. No "e" in Mobil. Wise up!

I have never been to Katie's before. I do a lot of events with PCA Potomac, though.

If you have questions, feel free to message me. I am on my second 991S...

Not exactly sure but I believe I read somewhere that the oil drain plug is plastic and should not be re-used. I also believe it must be torqued as well?

can anyone confirm?

Not necessary. Your Pennzoil 5W40 is Porsche A40 approved. I rather like the 5W40 viscosity over the 0W40. These are two very common dealership bulk fills.

I haven't been yet. Somebody said you need to be there by 6AM or so to get parking. When the weather is nice, I'll plan to go. This weekend is going to be lousy weather. I'll post something when I go.

I'd have zero concern about a Great Falls 'service station'. If they sucked, they'd be out of business in a heartbeat as they wouldn't be able to afford the property tax!

Dated a girl once from Great Falls. Her dad had four Emmy Awards displayed on his fireplace mantle. She unfortunately was bat **** crazy. Oh well
