Quick Help - Opti Tire Pressure
Sorry, sorry, but....
I need some quick help. Comfort settings for my 19 inch rims on my 2017 C2 are 31 and 36. Will that cause faster wear? Should I bump up the tire pressure?
Thanks kindly!
pS - they are installing my Michelins now...

Okay, never mind. They are mounting the tires now and pressure is easy enough to change later. Thanks.

One thing you could do, Dan, is run the higer PSI for daily commuting and road trips, to get better MPGs and tire life. Then, for spririted weekend runs, back off 2-4 PSI. Then, refill for work on Monday. Might not be worth the effort. Only you can decide what's important.
Regardless, the 991 platform is very kind to tire life, in my opinion, and comp to prior Porsches. I was used to only getting 10K miles from a set of rear tires....now I can go 15-20. I'm pretty pleased.
Spring and Fall (20") I run 36/38 and 40/42
Summer I run about 33 and 39

Seems like the previous owner of my latest vehicle ran the tires pretty low so I figured I'd run it a bit high plus I typically do that anyway.
I'm running 38/44 right now (the door jamb recommends 34/43).

Okay, thanks all. they are running at 32/38 right now, so I'll see how that works out. I drove the car this morning in the rain to work. Nice grip, better ride. I'll look forward to drive pavement to see how they compare; handling, noise, comfort.
End of thread, and thanks again.

But if you read the door jamb label more thoroughly (the additional yellow one), it also says "For better driving comfort, the tire pressures in the owner's manual may be used". Most of us find the full load pressures produce an unnecessarily stiff ride unless you are hauling a full set of passengers and luggage.
