Everything worked well for me during the full time I owned the car. Now I have a new 911 and so far I'm confused by the current landscape, I'm just using my old V1 unit for now. Can someone point me in the right direction?
FWIW I spent days researching the latest and greatest detectors, and I ended up going with the Escort Max 360. I was also a V1 guy for many years, but I was sold on the features of the new Max 360. Been using it for about a month now and its fantastic. Expensive, but worth it IMO.

So Nick will be fabricating a rear license plate bracket to accommodate the TX sensor as well as the regular sensor for the back. Fronts will be 3 regular sensors.

Have all the confidence in the world with Nick - he is going to do a fantastic job. I wish I lived closer to his shop, I would have given him a lot of work.

I have an Escort 360 Max on a 991 GTS. I approached a legal enterance to I-10 in Tallahassee. There was not a rear car within 400 yards of my visibility except a LEO.The Escort went off in response to the LEO. I clearly saw my entrance and the LEO and sped to 93 mph with no traffic in sight front or rear. Of course, the LEO pulled me over and gave me a BIG lecture for many minutes; none of which made sense. Nevertheless, aside from the fact I was driving 93MPH, I had pulled into an area whre there was NO traffic. Rather than debate the LEO, I merely smiled at him, listened and made no intelligent excuses. I did nothing wrong so I received no worning or ticket. I merely smiled and thanked the LEO.

Quite odd, yes. I believe that speeding at 93 mph would be considered "doing something wrong" on a public road. In my state, you'll be arrested if you're caught driving more than 25 mph over the posted speed limit. I don't know the speed limit on the I-10 entrance ramp in Tallahassee, but I'm guessing that 93 mph is more than 25 mph over the posted speed.

Yes any fool knows that no traffic makes 93 mph all right. Any fool. LOL

Can you let me know what he comes up with? Hopefully he will save the CAD file because I may want one too.

I'm sure Nick will have it available for others who want to use one regular and one TX sensor for the rear. Probably by end of next week! hahaha If you are interested, shoot him an email so that he could fab 2 instead of only one for me.

Curious wouldn't the six sensors be a overkill on a 911? I thought 3 in the front and two in the back laser jammers

Looks like we will be able to add a TX transmitter as a 6th head to the ALP using a splitter.

Yes I saw that too. The issue is where to mount it. They say it requires mounting at least 18" ideally 20" above ground level, and more than 7" from the regular sensors.

On my non lowered 911 Turbo S, that rules out the front of the car. On the rear it also would be ruled out because I can't put it below the plate (too low) and above the plate I have the backup camera in the middle (which is also less than 7" from the outer sensors which are needed for detection).

The only option I have seen for TX sensors on the 911 is to replace one of the rear sensors with the TX sensor which results in an asymmetrical appearance.

Let me know if you come up with a solution on where and how to mount.

Default Beltronics/Escort

Beltronics and escort are the same company and their stuff plugs into the same back plane.

As a cheap alternative to the above you can do this. Real world tested and works..

BelSTIr - they are fairly cheap used just chuck the lidar sensor and plug in the 3 lidar sensors that come with the Z4 shifter. The Z4 shifter head unit is no longer neaded.

Installation should be in the $300 to 500 range or you are just getting bent over.

I too am looking at either the escort max 360 xi detector and Jammer or the stinger VIP detector and jammer. Anyone know of a great installer as I want the best I can find for my new turbo. Was 99% ready to go escort when I read the issues with it not jamming the latest lasers. Can't find anyone that installs stinger.
