This has been very helpful discussion. Alp looks like way to go. What's a good configuration (how many sensors, thinking HIFI speaker option (prefer not to use iPhone for this function), and the radar -- NetRadar appears to have drawbacks, what about Radenso, or other alternative? Is AL PRIORITY RADAR/GPS MODULE of any use. Basically, how should I spec this out for my installer, for good functionality with user ease of use?

That looks like a great install -- right at the plate -- where the laser guns are aimed. Unfortunately, my Turbo is metallic white, so it would stick out like a sore thumb, unless it's painted. Will discuss with my installer -- scheduled "surgery" is next Wednesday.
Just went to the garage to assess, and the front grills are all black -- no problem there, the back bumper -- just below the plate is black -- so maybe there. I do have a black frame for the rear plate, but doesn't appear there is much room above the frame to mount the sensor.
Thinking the laser display should be mounted in the ash tray, the radar portion -- I'm not sure, but I'd like it to be as stealthy as possible, but still useable.

It's the same size as the plate. Black frame and no one will see it. By the way, that's a backup camera in the middle between the jammers

Turbo is going into surgery on Wednesday with the ALP and Net Radar. Based upon my research, the ALP is the best there is, and they do constant updates that are effective in combatting new laser gun innovations -- these guys are really into it. There are been recent updates that have improved Net Radars functionality as far as the arrows are concerned, and they get high marks for ignoring many false alerts that trigger other radar detectors. Regarding the need for an Android or iPhone to get the most from this product, I see it two ways. I prefer not to hook up my iPhone every time I get into my car, and I probably won't, but the Hifi options (speaker) will still alert me to threats (but I still can plug in my iPhone if I choose to do so, and with the Bluetooth module, it is easy to update the firmware of both system (so I've been told). There are many advantages of this setup -- one being that there isn't a separate display to mount for the radar as you can use your phone or the speaker option -- I don't want my car to look like Mission Control -- I want it to look like the great sports car that it is. The ALP controls will be mounted in the ashtray. Not everything is perfect, but for usability, functionality and performance, think this is a good way to go.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there are some laser guns for which you'll need 3 heads - I'd say you might as well go quint heads (3 front 2 rear) if you're going to the length of a pro ALP install.

I plan to have this unit install in 991.2 turbo at my local motorsport Porsche dealer. I would prefer ALP jammers based on reviews and track record against Dragoneye but don't have reputable installer in my area.

Do not think this is true. You would want 3 front and 2 back for larger cars, SUVs and vans. For smaller cars like P-cars, I think 2 heads up front is fine.

Had the ALP with netradar installed last week along with hifi speaker, bluetooth and GPS option. Installation is very clean and blends in well -- particularly on the front, as the grill is low and same color as sensors (black) -- can't be seen at normal eye level. Rear was installed above the license plate similar to examples on posts above -- no wires showing anywhere. Haven't driven it by any police to my knowledge to test it, but no false alarms yet (X and K are shut off, as I'm told they are not used in my area). What I like about the system is that it's very versatile (lots of settings and options -- installer configured it), it's always on, and the voice (hifi speaker) tells you what's happening -- no need to look for a display (there is a multicolor LED installed near rear view mirror, that turns on when something's up). I have the option of using my iPhone and the ALP app, but it's too much work and unnecessary. The GPS setting turns alerts off until the vehicle is moving above 31MPH -- can be set to various speeds. Laser jamming is set to turn off after 6 seconds -- I can always hit the button sooner. Very nice package.

Glad to hear that things worked out, the install was good, and that you are happy with it.
However, 6 seconds is way too long. Reconfigure to 4 seconds (3 would be better). The longer LEO does not get a reading, the more suspicious he will get and he may go after you (especially in a Porsche) just for the hell of it. Why take that chance. Once you hear the ALP go off, brake quickly to get down to PSL.

OP - I have the Max2. I was ready to do a cleaner integrated install as I feel I will be keeping this car for some time. I was ready to do the standard ALP with 9500 installed. Then I saw this one was coming out so I delayed.
I REALLY like my Escort products so I hope this system works as advertised and I will be doing one.
Please post your instal cost as well as your reviews if you would, love to hear it.
