Macadamia is one of my favorite car colors period. I don't think mahogany looks as good. Something about it just doesn't seem to show off the lines as well. The video is nothing compared to Macadamia in person.
You have to decide if you're buying the car you want or the one the guy you're going to sell it to one day wants.

Brown 911s have been around forever, so it makes sense as a color. Very polarizing, though, and absolute murder on resale.
If I was in love with the color, I wouldn't care either. It's a love it or hate kind of thing.

I find silver, gray, and black 911s to be boring. Give me some color!
The resale argument doesn't make sense to me. It's a bit like dating a super model and making sure to keep your hands off of her, and to make sure she dresses a certain way, and keeps her hair a certain color and style so that she will really appeal to her next boyfriend. I'm not saving my 911 for the next guy. I don't care about resale at all. I bought my car for me, not for the next guy.

I've enjoyed owning both brown 911s very much. The Macadamia car was a 2008 turbo cabriolet, with a cocoa brown top and a sand beige interior. Macadamia is a gorgeous color, especially in direct sunlight. It has a large amount of metal flake in the paint, and sometimes it can look like the finish on a bass boat, for lack of a better comparison. In the shade, it almost looks black.
The Mahogany car is a 2014 turbo s cabriolet, with a cocoa brown top and a two-tone interior in espresso and cognac. The Mahogany paint is darker, with a bit less metal flake. It is a very rich looking color, and it also changes quite a bit in direct sunlight. It has a noticeable purple hue to the paint, which gives it an interesting appeal. I prefer the Mahogany paint, but I liked the Macadamia very much.
Here are a few pics of the cars in sunny and shady conditions.

looks like Iron Man took an aerial bowel movement over it ... all it needs is a faux wood interior trim to complete it!

Why not add some fake wood panels to the doors and fenders too?
