You've really seen 16 show up on your gauge?

My car has > 2000 miles now. I took it on the 1/4 mile track to see if I am as fast as I should be. I saw 16PSI on the drag strip multiple times. The car seems to be faster with sport mode OFF .

Seen 17 on mine @ less than 1500 miles. Depends on what gear/rpm you are in. Try 2nd or 3rd to redline in sport plus.

Hmmn, may have to bring it in. I max at out 13 no matter what I do. After 13 the pressure releases so it won't go any higher.

Anyone know where it says what the max boost is ? I have a feeling I'm going to have to convince my dealer it should go to 16 so being able to point to something would help.

Thanks

I have a 991.2 C2S with the same problem as thread starter, only worse.

Car will not boost over 10 psi in neither 2nd or 3rd gear. Sport/Sport+ or not.

The car is a PDK with 6000km on it.

I've emailed the dealership about it so they will check it up when it's in for its first maintenance.

Checked my boost this weekend on 2nd gear WOT just around 5k-6k RPMS the car hits 16psi and spikes to 17psi for a second. I have about 3,500 miles on my 7mt .2 c2s no sport chrono and sport mode was not engaged when I was checking boost. I Personally do not believe that sport/sport plus has any factor in our cars hitting full boost.

Per my experience at the 1/4 mile track with my 7MT car - the car is faster with sport mode OFF.

Update: after breaking 1100mi I was able to see 15psi on the boost gauge, so I personally don't think I have any issues with mine.

Problem now solved, car now boosts 16psi in second gear immediately!

It was a broken hose (cracked) for some reason, after only 6500km. Warranty covered the repair.

So it was like getting 120 more horsepower, going from 10 psi to 16psi.

I have a base C2 and the boost won't exceed 10 psi. When I open throttle, it will get to 10 psi and then settle down to around 7-8 psi. I've told the dealership about it and they said they will check it.

I also noticed how easy it was to build boost on a 718 Boxster I had as a loaner. It would build boost even with partial throttle. With my 911, it hardly ever gets into boost with partial throttle. I have to depress the throttle quite far in order to build any boost.

I have a Base Engine (C4) and tested this the other day. Were you in the right gear and rpm when you tested it? I got to 13psi in first gear, full throttle at around 4-5k rpm which makes sense to me. Any other gear, I couldn't get above 8-10 at full throttle.

I tested from a rolling start around 30 mph until 80 mph.

See this video (not my car):

The car stays around 0.8-0.9 Bar (around 13 psi) all the way to 200 km/hr (124 mph). The engine should be capable of maintaining this boost pressure. Anything less makes me suspicious of a leak some where.
