Default Reservoir replacement recall

Went to the dealer for my first annual service for my 16 GTS. When I got home I checked the invoice and noticed on the bottom that there was a recall that they didn't do because they stated I didn't want to wait. It was the reservoir replacement WG42. Has anyone had this done? If so what reservoir is it? I would ask the dealer but can't get through, they're having an inspection and need all hands on deck.

Google tells me it is your coolant reservoir. Has something to do with the occasional faulty message that we get telling us our car is overheating and about to explode.

I had it done on mine. They called my car in for the recall. It is the sensor inside the coolant tank. It took a day and they provided me with a courtesy car which was very convenient.

Thanks for the info guys. It's weird because in doing a search I came across the recall lookup on Porsches site and they had no recall for my vin #.

I have had mine done. I dropped the car off early in the morning, picked up a new Macan loaner and picked up my car after I left my office that afternoon.

However, my SA told there is one more TSB that needs to be done on my car and he is waiting on the parts to be shipped from Germany. My car is a base C2 911.2, 2017.

My 2016 C2 doesn't show up on the recall either.

I did not receive a recall but my reservoir failed. It could have been replaced in a day but the dealer kept the car from Thursday morning until the following Monday evening because of a delay in getting the part.

Interesting how these go. Mine is a '16 GTS and not on the list-good for me as I am a long way from the dealer!

Thanks LOUD223
Interesting;
Reservoir replacement WG42 did not show up on the Porsche Recall for my VIN. (2016 991.1 GTS)
However checked with Dealer and the recall is current; takes 2 days as the engine needs to be left to cool down after installation to allow reservoir to be topped up and checked again.
Currently suffering withdrawal symptoms as the loaner is a Camry.
