Rennline Tow Hook 991 Install Question
Has anyone got any pointers on screwing in the Rennline Tow Hook on a 991.1 C2S?
My factory tow hook goes in 4-5 turns before it bottoms out, however the Rennline one only goes in about 1 full turn before it's super tight. I wanted to check before forcing it further, since I'm already using more force than I use to screw in the factory hook. I don't see why Rennline's should be any different.
Did anyone else have issues with their tow hook? Is it just because I'm using mine the first time? And is the Rennline one meant to look quite different from the factory hook (Factory on left, Rennline on right) - the ends look completely different.
Shown with car key to show how far out the Rennline hook is right now -
Thanks

See the red part of the installation instructions - http://www.rennline.com/PDF/E13%20Revb.pdf
Edit: See the instructions. I found my stiff to turn, but didn't require tools.

I had the same concern when I bought my tow hook from them. I called and they said it was normal. they wanted the threads to be tight so it wouldn't loosen up on the track. I screwed it in using a screwdriver through the hook and it went all the way in. Didn't damage anything. I was also concerned because I use a US Millworks license plate bracket that screws in to the tow hook receiver, but even after using the tow hook that works fine also.

Thanks everyone (and Rennline!) I will try it again with a bit more force, yes I am turning CCW by the way. Surprised the threads/bolt look so different but I assume that is by design.
