Default Random question regarding factory warranty

I just picked up a 2013 C2S with 26k on it. I noticed the factory warranty is 4 years or 50k whichever comes first. Can I simply call the dealer give him my VIN and let him see if my warranty is still in affect?

Would be nice to bring it to them and have them check things out before it expires.

you should be able to just call give the dealer you VIN# and ask for the in-service date, that is when the warranty period begins

thanks @dloines i just emailed the dealer.

@mikeearly thanks for the link

Bummer: Warranty started 12/19/2012

But on a positive note, it's good to see what the exact build was on this car.

I was going to say it's doubtful you have much left unless your car sat on a lot forever, but you got your answer.... FYI the dealer has covered 2 substantial repairs for me, one 2 weeks and another 2 months outside of the warranty, under the Porsche courtesy repair - they have an app that determines how much they'll pay after going through a few questions....for me it was a weird (but appreciated ) 87% each time.
No complaints... Latest was my $3400 warping door panels, that cost me only $400 and change.

By the way thanks for that link, it helped me figure out options on my used car ;-)

the easier clickable link would be

http://admin.porschedealer.com/repor...vin=WPOxxxxxxx (your vin)

I never knew I had power steering plus and it never bothered me despite what I read on the board ;-)
