Did you have leather on the doors? Just curious.

Local dealer is telling me that door panel warping is cosmetic and wouldn't be covered under CPO warranty. She suggested to call Porsche NA. Porsche NA tells me that sounds like wear and tear and that I should make an appointment with my dealer. When I inquired about this being a known issue not normal wear and tear, she claimed they wouldn't have any information on that from their end (Porsche NA) and that I'd need to get to the dealership. All this with 1 week left on my CPO and no appointments until 1 week + a day.

Your local dealer is a douchey operation. Almost all of us got the dealer to fix this, it's a known issue, and some of us like me even got it done post warranty as a courtesy repair...
Try another dealer ? Definitely write to PCNA and light a fire...

My sales rep did a little digging for me and said the first replacement door panels would have carried a 2-yr warranty if they were customer-paid but do not carry a warranty since they were warranty-paid. Proposed 2 options - out of pocket repair at an interior shop or 15% discount on parts to pay for new panels. All the while acknowledging that the failing panels are a known issue.

I would be screaming to PCNA about this. You have this issue on a second set of door panels?

Is this happening to 991.2 cars or too early?

Time to get in touch with the class-action attorneys who handled the IMS debacle, it sounds like.

Your SA is being shady. Both of mine were replaced under CPO warranty no questions asked other than will you be needing a loaner? Write PCNA or take it to another dealer.

Dkmesa, can you clarify? Is this the second time that the panels need to be replaced?

Also, the service advisor always told me their work has a 2y warranty parts and labor, I suppose I did not ask specifically if it applied to courtesy repairs but why the hell not ?
Who pays in the end should have no bearing towards coverage of the work performed by the dealer ! If that's not the case (I'd like to clarify that) next time I see the hint of a warp I'm trading the car off...
Not cool...

How freaking hard is it to make a car where the door panels do not detach or warp. I've owned a lot of cars from various makes and have never heard or seen of this issue before. Fix it Porsche!

Yes, both were replaced under prior ownership. One in 2014 and one in 2015 IIRC.

Partial leather on mines. It was technically a day fix but I also had to get my PCM replaced as it had the non-stop resetting issue that they could not resolve with software update. So I bascially got new door panels and new PCM

I call BS on what the sales rep told you.....

warranty paid parts STILL carries the same warranty (1 or 2 years i forgot)

I am sure of that because my HPFP went out and was replaced under recall/warranty by Porsche in my 987.2. the HPFP went out AGAIN within 12 mos and it was all covered under the parts warranty (parts and labor, plus towing etc.)
