Has anyone had any luck getting them repaired, or is getting new panels and hoping for a little goodwill the only way to get it fixed right?
Yes...repaired 2 months post warranty, something like 83% goodwill (or some close weird calculation). Cost them something like $3500 and me like $450... then they had to do it all over again because of new vibrations introduced in the door. At the time I was told that if the job could not be goodwilled they had a local trim specialist that could reglue them - so it sounds like there are options. But yeah, Porsche seems to goodwill those. They asked me if I was the first owner (no), bought it here (no), how many Porsches I'd owned (a bunch) and how many I owned now... all sort of Q to build up points for my 83% coverage :-)
Awesome, I'm glad to hear they've been goodwilling them... I'll try to go that route, no warrenty anymore since it's 5.5 years old and almost 80k miles (worth every inch).
Your must be fancier than mine, leather or inserts ;-) Yes it's a smart move because they've won a customer for a future car and service for sure now... And it costs them NOTHING, they still make labor $ and Porsche pays the rest... Good business, but I appreciate it !
but the leather ones don't have this problem! My 2012 had it too, but I didn't bother with getting it fixed. Just traded it in on a better 13 instead.

Good call - yeah - thing is my current 2013 is probably my last "new" car (owned) anyway... I find myself growing more detached from modern automobiles, they are capable but only truly fun at insane speeds... I'm gonna focus on enjoying my oldies which are move involving, and whatever modern car I get next will probably be a leased "appliance" from now on... that's why I wanted this fixed, it's my last hurrah for modern cars ;-)
PS: I rally need to consolidate my Id on this forum, it confuses me ;-)
Hi Dewinator,
How did you do on the non-warranty door card replacement? I have a 2013 S that needs the same thing.
Thank you, sir.
Chas.
