Here is my dog Sadie and her friend Daisy. We took out all the rear seat cushions and seat backs complete with all the folding mechanism. Saved a ton of weight, increased the luggage capacity and provides a nice spot for a dog to curl up into. My dog rides back there on a regular basis, and comes along on holiday driving trips.

The nice soft carpeted, bum shaped, depressions (with the seats removed) give more room for a person to sit back there as well as providing a couple more inches of head room. This is handy as the limiting factor for even a short adult to fit in the back is not the leg room, but the lack of head clearance.

15 lb shih tzu's. They know which car to go to when they hear "the Porsche", "the Rover" or "the Mercedes".

This was on a 2 day trip from Colorado to Montana last Christmas. They need to stop about as often as I do and are better travel companions than most people!
