I keep hearing this and I'm wondering if it would be implemented with the TT/TTS becoming a mini 918 or as an alternative Carrera (maybe a C4/C4S) with the idea of fairly high production numbers. Or even both by sticking the electric motor up front for all 4wd drivetrains.

Interior should be updated to mirror the Panamera, I'm guessing. Lots of capacitive touch screen type switches.
Downside is that the TT/TTS will be even heavier than it already is and, personally, I would want to wait at least until 992.2 before buying into a brand new hybrid platform.

Really interested to see where the hybrid model might fit in the Carrera range... As a new 'base' model with the focus on economy, or above the S with the focus on performance?

This is what I foresee for the TT/TTS platform. I suspect that the TT/TTS will be hybrid only and have performance numbers to rival the 918. 3.8 with new tech turbochargers would do the trick.

He is saying that the AWD system on porsche makes the TT/TTS[911's] too front heavy.

I think he understands.... Audi used to make all their cars incredibly nose heavy. The last S4 with a V8 was probably the worst balanced german performance car you could get with an awful weight distribution.

AWD dynamics are a matter of taste, regardless of design.

I thought the same as you at first, but the statement quoted above, "...pick a TTS over any Porsche" implies a TTS is not a Porsche. Which, of course, an Audi TTS is not.
But maybe it will remain a semantic mystery!

Dumb question, but what is meant by vertical lettering from the pics shown? Wouldn't this be vertical lettering:
P
O
R
S
C
H
E
Which I agree would be awful.
