Default 991 gts vs 991.2 S Sport Exhaust Sound

Great Video demonstrating the sound difference. Wow, I am definitely never letting go of my GTS!

The Porsche configurator needs a turbo whistle delete option. I too will be keeping my NA 991.1 GTS until the wheels fall off.

Default It's a matter of subjectivety...

I recall in the days of the IMSA GT and the Trans Am races watching the big block V8's battle against the 934 and 935. The V8's would exit the corner and be on the power instantly letting out a bellow. The 935's would enter the corner belching flames, turn, and when finally pointed straight take off like a Saturn V rocket. They'd catch the V8's in about 100 yards. No one complained about the sound of the turbos at full boost.

I was actually surprised how good the 991.2 sounds in this video. Still no comparison though for 'rawness'

the sounds is so much better in the 991.1 except when you weigh the sound of the 991.2 and add on the extra torque..I think the new 911 is a great car with more overall fun factor. can't wait for the new GTS!

Fun vid. I LOVE the sound of any larger V8, but Porsche did a great job getting proper tone with the .2 engine.

And if you drive in Sport +, with PSE on, you don't have the pops and farts you do in sport mode. I'd prefer it the other way around - drive in sport mode without the pops. With enough time, I'm sure there will be a program available to delete the pops.

I'm shocked that given the muting of the Turbos + Cat that nobody has done any straight pipe systems. Still wouldn't be as loud as my 991.1 with the valves open.
