Yea, NJ is weird. I remember the first time I drove into NJ, had no idea about the "no self filling law", and casually did it myself. People were staring at me and I thought everyone was a weirdo. Turns out that by their definition, I was the weirdo.

I grew up in NJ. The flip side of your experience is people born and raised in NJ going to a self-service gas station for the first time.

I had a friend who literally could not find his gas tank, even though he had driven the car for YEARS in NJ. I almost wet my pants from laughing :roflmao: I think it was an old Buick and the gas cap was under the emblem on the back of the car.
