What a joke. What a soap opera this whole car thing has become
I'm all for a company making a buck, but the plethora of "special editions" Porsche marketing has released is becoming a joke. It's like "Indy Pace Car" special editions or homages to particular NASCAR drivers. It's nothing but a money grab using decals and perhaps a new paint color. Having just gone through the ordering process for a new 911, I'm appalled at the crazy prices Porsche is asking not only for their base cars, but particularly the options. I'm beginning to think PAG has hired some pricing specialists from Maranello to help foot the bill for the VAG emissions losses. This can't go on fore ever. There's a day coming when Porsche sales take a sharp downward turn. It only takes a correction in the world economies for discretionary spending to curtail.
