3.0 S Powerkit i.c.w. Sport Package | pricing available now in US configurator
Includes both the sports package as well as the powerkit for $13,765. More reasonably priced than in the 991.1.

I feel like you received more from the 991.1 powerkit.. For a lot less money you can get a tune for the 991.2 to easily match or surpass these numbers. There's nothing that feels as good as factory options, but still a lot of money.

With the 991.1S versus GTS, the GTS provided more value for the options it included. (It made much more sense to get a GTS over an S w/Powerkit except for the '13 model year when the GTS wasn't offered, if you couldn't wait.) It's much closer with the 991.2 S versus GTS.
I'm surprised that Porsche didn't release the Powerkit option a full year earlier, like they did with the 991.1, before the GTS in order to milk more profits. With the release of the GTS, it suggests that the end of the 991 life-cycle isn't too far away (which has been discussed in other threads, of course).
(Love my 991.1 w/Powerkit, BTW.)

since the engine upgrades are larger turbos and new ECU f/w ... I think it should be much cheaper to retrofit it at a dealer, this was not the case with
the .1 X51 kit - it could be done, but was expensive and involved a lot of
engine tinkering...
Of course some of the SD aerokit would require painting etc - I also suspect
that your car might have to have Sport Chrono option also (but I'm not sure
about that last point)

Now that would be bang for the buck.

I think assumes that the *only* difference between the engines are the turbos, which might be the case, not too mention that the PSE would require a different rear valance... (if the base 991 didnt already have PSE) right?

If the remainder of the sport package installed is included in the $13k price than for those of us who did not opt for any of the sport package tid bits this is a great value..

Yeah. I wasn't clear. I was just thinking about the engine differences for the power uprate (not the whole power kit) which should be very straight forward. New Turbos and ECU reprogram. A dealership should be able to do that easily enough unless there is some software block in the Base 911 that prevents upgrading to a 450hp engine.
I'm thinking Base 911 with dealership upgrade from 370hp to 450hp. Would be covered under warranty and cost maybe $5-6k? About $70/hp? 89K for Base and 120k for a GTS. That is a bargain.
Granted, I know there are a lot of other goodies that come with the GTS including the wide body which most people like but not everybody.
