I was about to pull the trigger today on a set of PS4S but then remembered a few threads where guys weren't happy with the appearance of the 4S vs. P0.

I love the look of the P0's. Obviously I will go with the better performing tire, but also dont want any unpleasant surprises

I think the PO looks a little better but the 4S is a much nicer tire IMHO. Americas Tire price matched Costco and I think it was about $1200 or so OTD.

I had P Zero's I changed to Pilot Sport 4S's, I can't see myself going back.

Does anyone here know when the PS4s will be available for a 993 C2S? I know this is the 991 board, but I assume many of you have multiple cars and this discussion is not live in 993 area....225/40-18 front, 285/30-18 rear. Many thanks.

looks like the 225/40-18's are already available... but not the 285/30 ... interesting that you *can* get the Sport Cup 2's in those fitments...

You can do P4S in 225/40 18, 235/40 18, and 265/35 18. Those will all be fine on a C2.

Damon - I've got an amazing idea I'd love for you to take to your testing team.

Tire Rack tire tests are awesome because you test different tires on the same car, same track, same time, same day. They give you a really good comparison.

Here's my suggestion: Can you test the Michelin P4S comparing different variants of the same tire in the same size:

• Michelin Total Performance
• BMW
• Mercedes
• Ferrari K-rated
• Porsche N-rated

Hi all! I am about to update my 10 year old Pilot Sport (with a lot to rubber to run thousand miles) in the front axle.

A few days ago I noticed that the break distance is to long, even with warm tyres temp and dry tarmac.

Switch to pilot sport 4s is settled. 90% road use. The option could be Goodyear but I am a big Michelin fan, and the price is almlst the same.

Here in Portugal I have an additional issue. Sometimes you buy a new set of tires, and you get 1 year old tyres! The retailers do not guarantee a 6 months production time! Mpre than that is to much for me!

Stick with Michelin and insist on tires produced within the last 12 months. I want to visit Lisbon! You live in a beautiful country. Enjoy your 911.

No feedback at all of 997s with PS4S shoes around here, yet.

These tires do not have N Porsche OEM option. Only Pilot Sport 2.

There is why I am looking for 997 owners with PS4S. I still have the OEM Pilot Sport at the front, but 15 years old is a bit.

Hi dmen. For your information, this is the 991 forum not 997. What tire sizes does your car require (front and back)?

Tires age: Generally tire manufactures recommend replacing tires after 6 or 7 years. Ten years is much to long!

I highly recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. I have them on my 991.2 GTS and find they are very good for spirited road driving. They are also good for the occasional track day.

Production date of tire in your photo is (0105). That tire was manufactured during the first week "01" of 2005 "05". For example a production date of 5216 would be the last week of 2016.

A production date of 0105, means that that tires is a few weeks away from being 16 years old !

This is no longer a safe tire to drive your Porsche on, other than like a Toyota Prius to the tire store for a new set. Think Paul Walker Crash..... My understanding is the tire age at 9 years was a significant factor in the crash.

Please replace those tires as soon as possible and drive very carefully until they are.
