GTS PDK option climbs in price
For anybody using the Porsche configurator to build up a new GTS, I noticed that the PDK option has climbed to $4840 from around $3200, if memory serves me, last year.
PTS is now up to $6950 from $5500. I know this is old news.
For comparison I built up a GTS 4 and found that it came within $5k or so of a 2014 Turbo I had on order with similar equipment.
Rising prices at Porsche are here to stay as long as the economy stays healthy.

i have a 991.1 GTS pdk and i believe the pdk was $4,800 -little or no change. you are correct the PTS is now more expensive. a strategy by porsche gmbh to discourage pts. can't recall where i read this, but it may have been Panorama magazine. cheers.

This may not make a lof of sense, but...
when I worked at the Big Yellow Tractor Co., machine options were often priced as a % of the machine's base price. That's why the same item on a more expensive machine was priced higher than on a cheaper machine. We also had items in the standard machine configuration that we would omit or "Less-Off" if a customer didn't want it. Funny thing, the amount "Lessed-Off" was always less that what we would have charged if we had made it an optional item and added to an order. Those pricing guys live in some sort of alternative reality.

not that simple, but without being informed, your perspective is understandable. there is a great article on the subject. porsche claims that creating a PTS car significantly interrupts normal production process, and PTS demand currently well outstrips PTS build slots leading to customer frustration.
