I have pulled the trigger...changed my C4s order to a rwd GTS. Hope I've done the right thing? Sapphire blue Red/black leather PDK Plenty of other bits Hoping for an April delivery instead of the March C4s. Trading in a 991 4GTS (don't hate me, only ever a stop gap whilst new build) Can't wait

Perhaps the GTS PDK has some lighter / stronger parts (in line with its higher performance)? The GT3 has a modified PDK, for instance, and I'd bet that we would have seen Porsche charge more for it, if the manual was an option.

The PDK in the GTS trim is the same as for all 991.2 911 trims (2 and 2S, Targa, Cab, 4 and 4S, TT/TTS).
TBH I don't care what owners spend their coin on, but I am concerned that Porsche are pricing their iconic car, the 911, out of reach of many in the (upper) middle class when to get a decently equipped model is now about $130K for a C2S, and $150K for a GTS 4.
Perhaps all they really give a damn about is the SUVs, (especially the Macan), and the 'insiders' who always get first dibs on the GT models.
Ended up ordering a GTS 4. The RWD model would have made more sense economically but I liked the idea of AWD especially in my climate. Can't go wrong either way. Thanks for input.
450hp and the increased torque will also be better handled on the road course by most owners with the '4' versus the '2'.
Interesting, priced out the same options as closely as I could from my 991.1 GTS (which I stupidly traded in) for the new C4GTS...$7K CDN more this time. So, it came in around $185K. That puts me squarely into pre-owned 2017 TT territory with extended warranty.
If it wasn't for the manual and my preference for the rear on the regular 911's, it would be difficult to say no.
