992 Turbo for me!!

All kidding aside - I really think the 991.2 is perfect...

What kind of changes could they make on the outside to make the 992 (assuming that's what its called) better looking than the 991.2?

Exterior is perfect IMO! But there's always ppl who hate

At least until the GT2RS comes out - at a much higher price point.

If you are set on RWD and manual, the GTS does make some sense.
This is where my head is at. I think for the most power while keeping a manual transmission and rwd this is the best option. I would rather have this any day than a TTS (subjective personal choice) or even a GT3 as a daily. It's a good balance between all of them.

Though you guys are scaring me with these msrps I'm going to have to see what it comes out being. If it's 70k out of pocket for me to trade in my 2017 C2S it's not worth it, I'll buy another car and just add vs upgrade.

The USA MSRP's seem to be accurate in the configurator.

I'm pretty sure I'll change my order to gts now. But build it close to my soon to be cancelled C4S order. Only thing I can't decide on if to include the (much loved) carrera sport wheels which the dealer can arrange to do.
Will the carrera sport wheels suit the sporty look of the gts? I guess this hybrid look may not help resale in the future as I guess most would want the alcantara/ CL wheels rather than the red/black leather and sports wheels I would select.
I know it's all personal preference but any thoughts?
Thanks
Simon

I think the CLs define the package, to me it is the Porsche signature for their serious performance cars vs the base 911s. I had a flat repaired recently on my 15 GTS and the patch was relatively simple.
Interesting that the $ delta to a Turbo is getting pretty slim, but for some reason the GTS sounds far better on the configurator than the Turbo. For resale I would go with the GTS interior.
My brother is in the market for a 15 or 16 used GTS; SR delete, PDK, GTS interior, Sport mirrors and CLs are top priorities for him.

I have to agree with you. Regular base 911 doesn't have CL on them. I'm sure the next Turbo edition is going to be more powerful and expensive in every year.

Claw it back?? More like drain your blood.
Not quite. 991.2 has parking sensors and backup camera standard. It also has voice control standard. I don't recall if SPASM was standard on the .1 which is now standard on the .2.

Prices really didn't go up that much.....except for that damn pdk! Fortunately I am a manual guy.

A few small things I'd like to see on 992:

· PDLS headlamp washer warts flush or gone
· More simple/classic look for LED headlights (I don't really mind them, but I see why some prefer the Xenon's look)
· Glass sunroof that's the same width as the front/rear glass
· Less "chunky" standard wing mirrors

I think so. I don't have rear wheel steering which I wanted, I love the wider hips, little extra hp never hurt and always wanted to do a pts car. I'm thinking slate grey.

Lol, "Triggered"!
Carbon fenders magnesium roof, carbon-fiber decklids front and rear, Deleted 7th gear, Deleted A/C and PCM, Sticker instead of hood ornament.

You don't call that a bunch of lighter bits? Besides 50 more HP than a 17' GTS yes it just has a few extra light bits for what is now triple or more the price.
