Default 991.2 EXHAUST TIPS

Any one has changed their 991.2 BASE exhaust tips for something better looking ones?

Any options apart from the the stock tips which are like 870 bucks on suncoast, which I think is just crazy.

Send out your current tips to be ceramic powder coated? They can even do different colors than just satin black.

See example here:

the stock 991.2 tips have the larger inlet pipe like the 997.2 (S) and 991.1 (S)

so if you buy tips, make sure not to get 997.1/2 or 991.1 base tips.

i think base used to be like 2.25 and S 2.5, i know this cause i swapped my 991.2 base tips out and had the larger diameter pipe which made using 997.2 S tips work perfectly.

whew, that was alot of #'s

Have you guys solved your rainbow discoloration issues yet, after these are heat cycled?

A little over a year ago we had bad batch, we have since switched to a very high quality PVD coating that we have had no finish issues with. A couple of the guys in the back took a blow torch to one once with no ill effect, although i'd not recommend doing that haha. The PVD tip finish is warrantied for a full year, plenty of time to put them through the paces

We provide some adjustment in and out on the tips as well as up down left right. I cannot say how much more movement over the picture as the vehicle is not longer at the shop to review

Thanks man,

no one ever mentions it, but I have been afraid of them, because if they arrived and they stuck out as much as they look on their site, I would have to throw them to the garbage.

But if they can be adjusted a bit, like you say, they must be good.

I will consider them for my next order.

Thanks

Had these on the 50th:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-991-...-/152213434754
Liked the double wall/beefy effect of the eBay units.. Don't like chrome, hit them with some 000 steel wool to tone them down.
Also come in carbon effect:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/1614296...&ul_noapp=true
IIRC, netgotiated the price down a bit. T
