Hey Nick, I know you are overwhelmed with orders, but any idea of the eta of the first batch of kits? Don't mean to imply any pressure whatsoever, just the curious side of me asking the question. I've lived with the stock speakers for quite a while so a few more weeks won't hurt.

I'm on the list (thank you), although I won't be picking up her up until next week. When I receive the tweeters, I was going to have my audio shop throw them in when the reinstall the K40 remote from my M6. Do you think I should disconnect the center channel at the same time? I'm not a big fan of the synthesized surround sound anyway.

Sorry for the lack of an update for those on the list. It seems that everything happens at once and our local business has spiked up rapidly over the past week, so trying to juggle both without dropping any *****. That said, all the parts are slowly making their way in and we should have everything to start assembly on the first orders by the end of this week.
The break in the supply chain was definitely the Porshe Burmester grilles. We took every single one they had in the US and backordered Germany without a good amount of them. I'll be sending out an update email this week to everyone who has an order in, so stay tuned for that.

I personally recommend it, but everyone's tastes are different.
Like I've told others in the past, put a towel and a paperweight of sorts on top of your center channel grille before you take the initiative to disconnect it. That will muffle it out enough to tell you if you like that better.
Hey Nick, should we notify you if we don't need the grills? Hopefully that will speed up the fulfillment of some of your orders WOOT! I am excited!

Those like Joe who already have Burmester grilles will definitely get their order earlier than some others. But if you don't have the grilles you're still going to need them, and they won't come to you locally any faster than they'll come to us here since they'll need to fill our backorder before any others.
By the way, just a fun fact, 47 out of 60 orders with grilles required are black... definitely a popular color!
