These threads crack me up.
I won't be snark on a saturday night but what exactly is the point to ask this question?
Get what you want. Do you want to drive manual? Get manual. Do you want Dual Clutch Auto? Get PDK.

I have a 991.2 C4S as a DD. Just drove this week in MIchigan in snow for the first time too. I have PDK and wouldn't do otherwise. Best performance and easiest around town. I love manuals, but not for everyday.....however with all of the torque down low at least it minimizes shifting if you do go manual route.

There is a level of involvement that a PDK can never give a driver. That said. If you don't feel that and the performance edge of the pdk becomes luring along with the ability for the wife to drive. Than the choice becomes easy. Personally. These car have become to automated for my comfort level anyway. PTV, PSM, RWS, and the list goes on. Before to long you will set your destination and your car will get you there with or without you. Anybody who enjoys the process itself is slowly being robbed of it. Porsche has always bin a drivers car. No reason to buy one if the car takes over the function of the whole experience. There are better cars out that for that.

I think that the fact you are asking may indicate you are not a hard core manual enthusiast that is looking for the maximum involvement experience that a manual brings. So you are already well on your way to getting a PDK. I don't think you would be asking otherwise.
Since you don't have the ability to test drive them, I think you'll just have to look at how you think you'll use the car. Both trannies are fantastic, the experience is different, it just depends on what experience you are after. It is truly just a personal decision.
BTW, if you test drive a Macan Turbo with a PDK, you'll get a good idea of what the PDK transmission experience is about. Try it in manual mode and automatic mode in Sport setting. If you do get a PDK, be absolutely sure to get Sport Chrono since the tranny shift points without it are more suited to just cruising.
Edit: I should add. I was a manual guy all my life until 4 years ago. My last two cars have been PDKs and I've been thrilled with them, especially in the 991. Yea I sometimes miss a manual, but I love maximizing acceleration too much and the PDK works great for me in autocrossing. And for casual dinners out, yeah, I sometimes just laze around in normal mode.

I do enjoy manual. But manual for a Porsche seems to be going "old school" . Pdk shifts faster and gives you the option to move manual or paddle shift. I picked up a 17 4s cab with PDK a few weeks ago and love it.

Well. I have always been a manual guy. I converted my BMW from auto to manual and love it.
The 991 would become a daily so I guess the PDK would be ideal and the LC is also a insane thing.
On the other hand I am afraid that the 991 is a sports car and I would be missing something it has to offer by not going manual

You can't go wrong with either. No downsides. The PDK is the only auto worth having.
So it's up to you.
Honestly, maybe fly to England and try them out?

If you're the kind of guy who converts an auto to a manual then you probably enjoy the engagement provided by shifting. The 991s manual transmission is a joy to use. I do wish it had one less gear and a better shift pattern but the shift feel, clutch, and ratios are fantastic.

I have a 2017 4S and was banking on the 4WD system to at least get me to the office 7 miles away in moderate snow. Naturally 6 inches and up I will take a different vehicle.
