So here is a really good historical thread on the x51 install from the "other" forum. Suggest you are seated when viewing the pictures especially if you have a heart condition.

The attached PDF does a good job of explaining what the kit involves.

^^^ Wow. Nice pics.

So full aluminum Plenum and Air Intakes.

IPD Plenums are onto something! The GT cars also have aluminum ones.

Genuinely surprised that heads, cams, intake, and DME only results in +30HP and +0 torque. It'd be interesting to see a before and after dyno -- maybe the X51 makes significantly more power across the RPM range. If not, just seems like an enormous amount of work and money for a minuscule power increase.

Yes ChANCE thx for posting. I took a few like your pics today but your's look so good, no need to post mine. The dealer mechanic really is clean and organized just like your pics. There sure are a lot of parts and pieces laying about and many in the box (crate) to be installed. We discovered there were no new head bolts for this kit (8 per side) & my mechanic wants new ones so he ordered them today, in tomorrow. He said they are only (normally) used once as they are torqued to yield was his term. Did you get new ones too? Another $178! I posted a few pics on the intake in a separate thread. The IPD looks similar in shape but the X51 has 3 soleniods vs 1, to control the 6 +1 switchable intake valves I assume. Very cool, but I'm a little anxious!

Let the X51 breathe with a set of our Sport Headers. Dyno gains on a GTS in house, and Magicrat as well, showed right around 30whp/wtq over the factory headers

In House

I do own the White whale, 2013 991-1 s with x-51 power kit, 150k in options, bought it with just 4400 miles on it in 2016. Added a full Fabspeed exhaust system, headers, cats, mufflers, high flow intake filters and the cherry on top, cobb tuning. Plus 480HP very responsive, a sound that is proper to allow the wildcat scream, set of Bilstein Coilover with pasm shocks dropped it 1.5 " and a set of Michelin Pilot cup 2s. Absolutely have loved this build, tasteful, sounds amazing, drives like it is on rails and gives me smiles per miles like nothing else.
I often think of selling my little sunshine to move to something else, but I think the only upgrade would be to a GT3 RS my x-51 is already tricker than most GT3.
Keep your eyes open for this x-51 if I ever decide to part ways.

Hey Greg! I just bought your little beauty from HBI about a month ago! This has always been a dream of mine to own such an amazing car. I was unaware of some of these modifications and would love a list of what all was done to it. We owned the car for less than two weeks and got rear-ended. Unfortunately, the body shop/other person's insurance company is most likely going to total loss this beauty. I already know if this happens their insurance company is going to undervalue the car and we will be screwed! The more "value" I can show the better off I will be.

I recently had a "scare" and that led me to play the total loss scenario in my mind. Couldnt let it go and had a company do a 3rd party independent Appraisal on my '16 GTS Manual. The value came back at a smidge over $130K.
None of the online resources, value sites were anywhere close.

Make sure to pay the extra $300-$450 it will cost to have a true 3rd part appraisal done on your own, especially given the modifications (my car is bone stock). True replacement values for harder to find trims and options (like X51) are far higher

Good luck

End of last year I I purchased a 2014 991.1 C4S with X51 from factory, love the sound this car makes and the best winter driver I've ever had. Any other c4s power kit people in this thread?

Yup - I got a new to me '15 Targa 4S manual X51 recently. Amazingly fun to drive and the sound is fantastic. I think its got to be a pretty rare spec, but not sure.
