Check with a local powdercoater, typically similar cost to painting and more durable... But I second the platinum/satin look. Black's too dark, silver too light!

Ditto. They should all be priced like this, but it is difficult to find one even close...

Posted in wrong 911.1 HFS earlier...
How about this one? Looking for my first porsche- torn between a 2014-2015 911S, or a 2017 911 base (? maybe S). COULD do new (base or S) but wanting to save some money if reasonable.
2017 911 991.2 base carrera. 89k. 7k miles. Good deal? Average? Would have to drive 3 hours to pick it up. The didn't seem too willing to move much on price. Not CPO but they said they could add that for ~3k. Looking for a daily driver.

I would try $89 k with CPO or $86 k w/o. The .2 base would make a nice DD for sure.

Looking at this one, would appreciate some advice: WP0AB2A96HS122661. The dealer says it was a service loaner. Really, they loaned out 911's with manual transmissions? Should I be worried that there's either something they're not telling me, or, that service loaners tend to get abused? Any other questions I should ask the dealer?

Finally, what would be a good price on this car? It has 2 yrs CPO.

Nope. It was a PCNA car - most likely a master the manual car. A few of those with the exact same spec sold / were listed in the northeast recently around 100k or under. I looked at a few but they were very beat up.

I bought one of these PCNA "executive" cars. I didn't feel that the car was "very beat up" it was priced right with a 6 yr. extended warranty at roughly 25% off MSRP. It was also exactly what I would have built in a new car, which is important to this equation. I chose to save the money and drive the wheels off of it. Added bonus, I won't be the first one to scrape up the front lip which eases my mind quite a bit.

These PCNA resale cars are a bit polarizing... Some think they are driven hard and put away wet and need a SIGNIFICANT discount to make them worthwhile. I certainly would want/expect a larger discount than a typical one-owner CPO car of similar build and mileage.

At the $101.5K asking price, that's only 18% off sticker. Seeing as leftover brand-new 2017's went for ~10% off, I'd say not enough discount for a $10K mile school car, even if it turns out to be in awesome shape.

At a 25% discount, (~$93K), if it is in cosmetically superb shape, full CPO, no 3/4/5 overrevs*, and a build/color you like, that IMHO would be a more tempting price.

*I'm not a big overrev doom-sayer, but if this really was a 'master the manual', I absolutely would request an overrev report before even considering the car...

that car has sport chrono.

After looking at several of that exact spec car and then after seeing what else was out there (as a % discount to MSRP with less miles and better condition, still with CPO, etc) I feel that these cars should be carrying a min 25% to MSRP discount. ideally you should be shooting for 30% imo. if its' in great condition with no overrev.

Your right about the SC... I missed it when I scanned the build sheet. Fixed my earlier post. Agree with you on pricing though.

2-year leases on early delivery 2017's should be finishing up soon, I hope to see some nice 2017's come on the market.
