Percentage-wise off MSRP, I could have done a few points better, but this car was almost exactly what I was looking for. Right color, light on options, and lowest miles. Also came with a full clear bra, frunk liner and lid, aluminum gas cap, clear side markers.
The alternatives were a little more off MSRP, but had much higher MSRPs due to having lots of options I didn't need or want.

You can now find a few used lower optioned .2 cars for high 80's low 90's with low miles. Very competitive with the coveted .1S models. Truly a personal choice.

I've been keeping an eye out. Deals haven't been crazy - in most cases it's 10% off if it's under 5k miles (which isn't that much better than 6% off I can get on a new order). Let's see what the winter months bring.

IMO, 991.2 cars are too new for 30% off unless high mileage and/or a CarFax problem, or a lousy choice of options and private sale. in another year we might see 30% of for a nice car, but most of those won't be CPO.

Watching it and hoping that other 991.2s come down in the next year. I still don't know if I want a .1 or .2. Once .2 base models start getting into .1 S territory, it'll be a tough decision.

The above would be about an 11% discount which as you correctly state is not great given the warranty has been punched. Was in the marked for a 2016 991.1S CPO, new 991.2 base or S and also looked at the CPO market on both the 991.2 base and S to see if it was worth the effort as intend to keep the car just 2 or 3 years but do not want to lease. I ended up purchasing an ~114 k new 2017 10% off with hardly any haggling 2weeks ago. An S was within reach but in the end I found the C2 will be much more than adequate for my daily needs, If that proves not to be the case, I can always upgrade it.

I looked on Porsche's used site yesterday for "2017 MT 911". It showed 17 cars nationwide. The first one I clicked on had a PDK in spite of the filter I used.
I think if you want a MT, the pickings remain slim.

Too new for any meaningful numbers to show up. Just curious, did you happen to note the number of '17 PDKs available? New C2s are now mostly optioned north of $110k. They don't want to give those production slots away.

Yes it was. It came in a couple of months earlier and I noticed it but was still uncertain about what model exactly to get. When I was ready, the 2018s were already coming in so I made them the offer at 10% off which they accepted by the end of the day. I had personally visited the dealership about two months earlier. I liked the color combination, particularly the light interior which is discontinued for 2018. I otherwise would have skipped one of the options to allow for a leather interior if I were ordering myself
