Default Picked up a 2014 CPO C4

Hey everyone, I just recently made good on my signature and graduated from my gateway drug (Audi S4) to a 991 C4. Love it so far. I have put about 800 miles on it already. I was shopping for a nice 997.2 C4S but this came up within a few bucks of a 997.2 so it made the choice pretty easy.

I am working on some fun little projects for the car. I don't want to disclose what I am doing yet, but I will post more about it if I succeed.

For the two wheel drive purists out there, this car will see year round use in the Northeast and will get some snow shoes shortly.

Congrats and great car! I also recently migrated from the Audi world over into a 991.1 and am loving it as well. Be ready for a permanent smile the next few months.

Those hips
Those rockers.
That light bar.

Winning.

Enjoy.

Congrats! I recently traded my '15 S4 in on a '12 C2S

My 911 is not a daily driver, but I will absolutely be using it this winter. You can find great winter-setup deals on RL classifieds.

I did my first bit of probing of the 991's on board computers.

17 Modules found in total. I am sure there are more, the question is how to get to them.

While this may not seem like a big deal, I did it without using Durametric, or PIWIS.

I was wondering when someone was going to ask that question.... VCDS believe it or not. I have the device left over from my Audi days. I have given the data dumps to the Ross-Tech folks, the only major issue right now is they do not have translation files for what Porsche's codes mean. Its a little bit flying blind but I can change things in the modules I just have no idea what those changes do, I can only back them out post change.

If ross-tech had a PIWIS computer they could figure out the ASAM codes pretty quick. Anyone who has access to one either as porsche tech etc, that lives in SE PA please let me know. (ross tech is out of Lansdale PA)

Other possible approach is to get more dumps from more 991's with different options etc, and we might be able to figure out what some of the module codes mean just based on options certain cars have over others. Cars with parking sensors versus cars without etc.
