Paul thanks for chiming in

BoldSharpe the issue lies with the S Non-PSE having a completely different cat, muffler and tip design than the Base Non-PSE. Therefore none of our Base Non-PSE components can be added by themselves to an S Non-PSE. However, if you would replace the entire system with Fabspeed with a complete Base Non-PSE exhaust suite (Sport Cats, X-Pipe, and Deluxe Tips) it would fit on your S, they just have to all be done at once. It would be a heck of an improvement on sound and performance though

We are quite interested in making modular components for the S Non-PSE, but as of yet we have not had anyone local or willing to send one to us make it happen.

It doesn't not matter what the engine RPM is after that, the PSE will not be active. Of course, once the revs climb above 3,000 RPM the engine does get louder, but that is due to increased engine speed and exhaust volume, not the operation of the PSE flaps"

The SA went on to say that they have driven the car aggressively in Sport mode with an d without PSE defeated and there is a significant difference in the sound level.

I asked him whether he is certain about the information he is providing or he needs to speak to PCNA rep to confirm. He said he didn't need to. He knows I am sensitive to noise and want control over the system in all circumstances and he says I'll have it.

If someone has a 991.2 with PSE and cares to chime in, that would be helpful. I'm leaving Canada tomorrow for vacation in southern California, so I'll check with a dealer there as well.

Your SA is correct.

991.2 with PSE here. I would say that your SA is right. Selecting Sport or Sport+ indeed turns PSE "On" (in other words flaps open and louder) but you can then turn it "Off" from the console switches and make it quiet. If desired, you could set up Individual for Sport or Sport+ and PSE "Off" and save that to the key (with Entry & Drive) and then call that set of options up anytime you wanted to.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to order this option, even if I will defeat it at times. Personally I like the look of the centre pipes and 90% of the cars being sold at the dealership have the option so I'm thinking it will help when it comes time to trade in 3 or 4 years.

I have it on a cab and with it on it's still pretty quiet. I barely notice it.
