Targa 4 or 4S?

Unless you really need the mirrors to fold, I would highly recommend the sport design mirrors. I think they make a huge improvement in the appearance of the car.

i disagree with some comments here. Coming from a 981 Cayman S to this 991S, I am here to tell y'all that the PTV and SPASM on my 991.1 C2S make a huge and very noticeable difference from my my 981 CS. I can hit this one much harder in track corners and street intersection turns, and it helps keep the car going where I want it to go, and the SPASM keeps the car more level and the engine/chassis more responsive. In the future, I would not buy a Porsche without these features.

The -20mm SPASM looks good too. It is also my understanding that the SPASM rollbar is actually stiffer than the PASM one, it just feels softer in normal driving when you also have PDCC since the car relaxes the preload on the hydraulics when you are not driving hard in corners.

Talking abut SPASM is useless. This is a Targa thread...Targas cannot get SPASM.
Targas are not track cars. Sure they can be used as one(like any 911) but 99% of buyers don't.
While PDCC might make it more comfortable in a straight line, the lack of body roll for many (myself included) makes the car feel boring in corners. Sometimes it's nice to NOT have to go 100mph in a corner to feel the sensation of speed/roll/cornering forces.
Between PASM, PTV, AWD and RWS(if optioned) along with 305mm wide rear tires the Targa already has enough cornering aids (IMHO) for the type of 911 that it is meant to be.

Order a Targa 4S as you may actually get the car.....3 base Targa's in the country that are orderable at present is not good for your chances unless your dealer is one of the lucky 3....My 2 cents....

Plus you get the little puddle lights with the power fold mirrors.

I did go for the Targa 4S, not realizing how rare the T4s are. I figured the extras were worth the price delta.
Got my allocation 10/31:

how many orderable Targa 4s' are available at the moment? When i went to build mine, it was near impossible to find an allocation (it's now built, waiting for the boat). And on a related topic, does anyone know how many Targa's per year are produced? Yesterday Porsche reported 7,491 911s sold in north america ytd. I wonder how many are Targas?

These are currently buildable in V200 or V210 status.
