Default Body Shop Recommendation in Northern Virginia/Maryland/DC Area?

I am FREAKIN PISSED right now...I parked my car in a garage at Mosaic District to get some dinner and lo and behold, what do I come back to? Scrape mark on the back bumper, right behind the left wheel!!! And of course, no note, no nothing. I swear to god, I need to move out of this area.

Anyone know a solid place to get a respray done and a ballpark estimate on how much this might cost me? I don't want to go through insurance for obvious reasons (Carfax, etc.)

I bet someone could buff most of that out then touch up what's needed.

It looks like an extremely light touch..... probably didn't even know they touched it.

+1 - buy some compound and see if you can rub it out yourself. If it starts to come out, use a polish to finish it off to a nice shine. I think this is an easy fix, but still frustrating to come back to. Sux, people don't care about others' property.

That sucks. I hate that garage, the spaces are too tight for all the SUVs that try to squeeze into them. I always make sure we take the wife's car.

I have a similar problem. Not to steal the thread, but does anybody know of a quality pointless dent repair shop in Chicago?

Incredible. Makes me furious. Though honestly I don't blame him for not leaving a note, why would he if he knows he can get away scotch free? Besides in his twisted mind you somehow deserve it. And to some trolls on this forum you have no "man card" and must be driving a princess mobile. Idiots everywhere.

edit: moving won't solve the problem.

Guys, thanks for the responses, I really appreciate the empathy. I've calmed down a little since last night and have been looking up places to get this fixed up. Seems like compounding/polishing might be the most efficient solution at the moment but will keep you guys updated.

I agree, D&V did a beautiful job for me of matching the paint on my rear bumper cover. I cannot tell the difference in the paint between factory and repair.

Clay, compound, polish first. I think you'll be surprised.

Then if not happy, touch up the remaining spots with Dr Colorchip.

If still not happy, go to Tysons Collision Center on Tyco Rd behind the Audi dealer.

I feel your pain. I had my car for a month, had it parked all the way in the back of a parking lot, and it was hit somehow. Northern Virginia has the worst drivers in North America. Within 7 days of my 911 getting damaged, some kid rear-ended my Viper in stopped traffic.
