991 Going Out of Warranty Soon
Hi Guys,
My girlfriend has a 991 Carrera that she has put close to 50k miles on already.
I wanted to see if there is anything we should have the dealer do before the warranty expires.
We've been to the dealer recently for a few matters, so they've performed all the campaigns on it, but I wanted to check if there is anything that we should do.
The odd thing is, my 991 GT3 is quite a bit smoother than the car in terms of initial off the line, her car has a "jerk" of sorts (similar to the bucking bronco the early E46 SMG M3's had). But, after it's recent visit to the dealer, the car seems much smoother, but still not as smooth as my GT3--which I find odd since the GT3 is not supposed to be smoother than a Carrera.
Thanks

That's allota miles. Sure she's not two timing ya?
Dealerships l o v e warranty work. Make them more cognizant that it's coming off warranty, and ask them to perform a comprehensive and complimentary inspection ASAP.

+1 to what LexVan said. err... except the part about two timing.
My dealership routinely offers complimentary inspections. I've been to two of them and have received warranty work and campaign updates twice.
Call them and ask - they will bring you right in for an inspection free of charge and then recommend work free of charge.
BTW - Pretty cool girlfriend that she drives a 991 and puts that many miles on it.

Haha, thanks, guys!
Yeah, we took it to the dealer twice for the campaign updates and for random rattles and squeaks. It's been my experience with other companies that there is certain lingo you have to complain about and they'll replace things. I guess it's all good then!
She's had the car since the 991 came out and has just daily'd it pretty much every day since.
