Default 991.1 Turbo S wheels on GTS

Hello fellas;

I don't know much about wheel fitments but when I looked on sun coast to see if 991.1 TurboS wheels will fit on a 991.1 GTS; this is what I see

Size: Turbo/Turbo S (991) with Center Lock Wheels
Front - 8.5" x 20" ET51 - 245/35 R20
Rear - 11" x 20" ET59 - 295/30 R20

Size: 911 Carrera GTS or Carrera 4 GTS (991) with Center Lock Wheels
Front - 8.5" x 20" ET51 - 245/35 R20
Rear - 11" x 20" ET52 - 295/30 R20

So the only difference is the rear off-set with the Turbo S rear being ET59 as opposed to the GTS rear being ET52. Will this work OK? I'm not very sure when it comes to off-sets.

Thanks

Looks like the TT wheels won't stick out as much. They probably will be ok but 7mm further into the wheel well. No spacers available for CLs so it's a tough call. I probably wouldn't do it unless I can dry fit it for reassurance pryer to purchase.

Somebody on here ordered it from the factory that way. Can't tell the one-third-inch difference from the pix I've seen. Can't remember who...

I am not sure about the offsets......But I think the factory just "swapped" wheels....Although it was a $4000 option!!!!!!

all you need for graphical and tabulated comparison of as-mounted " poke and inset " dimensionality, speedometer readout , arch gap , ride height changes , if any , of upgraded wheel and / or tire to the OEM fitment : ( obviously doesn't address internal strut / support contact or external fenderlip or wheel well lining contact .....plus, you can change " wheel offset " input by appropriate number of mm, i.e., input lower offset number ( wheel pushed out more ) by subtracting its thickness in mm if thinking of adding a spacer :

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but thinking seriously about putting Turbo S wheels on my GTS. Have never been a fan of all black wheels, and I think the Turbo S wheels are pretty sharp. Either that or paint my GTS wheels Platinum Silver.

Your front wheels are the same as those on the 991.1 Turbo S.

Your rear wheels have a 7 mm (.276") greater positive offset than the Turbo S Wheels. Contrary to what was said above, that means the rear Turbo S wheels will sit more flush to the outside of your fender. If you think about it, the Turbo S has slightly wider rear fenders. For the same reason, your wheels would not look good on a Turbo S. They would not stick out far enough. That impairs the value of your wheels. It's probably more economical to paint your wheels however you want them.

I have encountered a similar issue with my 2018 991.2 GTS, where there is a 6mm difference in positive offset in the rear. I'm going to have my wheels painted later this month but not in silver. I think you'll find it is far more economical to go that route. When you do, you can pretty much have anything you want.

Thanks for the response. I'm looking at a set of 2017 991.2 Turbo S wheels and should have mentioned that in my original post. 7mm is about 1/4", so in reality how noticeable would that be on the vehicle? Also, if I spec the car with 5 lug wheels, the rear 5 lugs are: 11.5 x 20 ET 56 with 305/30 ZR 20 tires vs the turbo center locks which are 12 (or 11.5 - not sure) x 20 ET 56 with 305/30 ZR 20 tires.

A set of new 991.2 Turbo S wheels on ebay has the rear dimension at 11.5x20 et 56 (I asked the seller for a clarification on the width). According to willtheyfit.com, if the Turbo S wheels are indeed 11.5", then the wheel will extend out from the body 0.7mm. if they are 12", then it appears it would extend out by 7 mm. Let me know where I am going wrong with this. Thanks
