So has anyone made the .2 multi function wheel work in a 991.1?

I'd like to know if we can fit the 991.2 MF steering wheel to replace the 991.1 MF Steering wheel, regardless if the "mode dial" works or not, or maybe, even better, without a "mode dial".

Supposedly the MF can work. My tech thought he could get it to work.

I didn't want it for a clean look on the 991.1

I do find the MF VERY helpful on my Macan S though and any daily driver.

The wheel can be ordered without the "mode" dial too. 991.2's without the Sport Chrono option don't have that ugly wart.

I would like to switch from sport design wheel to the .2 multifunction without dial. But my local dealer doesn't have a clue.

Call Gene McClure @ P Atlanta Perimeter. He should have a clue.

Love it. I had a 16' Cayenne loaner for a day and really thought the smaller airbag and overall look was much sleeker than my current sports wheel.

Glad I know its been done and not too complex, I will be having this done soon. Enjoy.

Nice Job!

Do the Aluminum Trim pieces, in the spokes of the GT Sport .2 Wheel, unbolt?
Wondering if they can be anodized a different color.

Thanks.

They might come off. Haven't tried.

Unfortunately, they are "aluminum look" plastic. Kinda like the gas cap! The paddle shifters are aluminum or some sort of alloy though.

Thought I'd show some options from the aftermarket guys. TechArt here.

They take the OEM GT Sport wheel and modify it. Pretty nice!! I like the squared bottom and other details.

Just wanted the wheel and paddles. All you need
Can you get this wheel with the MF modules added in? I have the OEM MF wheel like you had originally and don't really need the Sport/Sport + lights or care for the loss of them. But I do enjoy my wife's '16 Cayenne wheels which has the 918 wheel with MF controls. So I'd like to get that type of wheels swapped out onto my 2013 991.1 S car. Is that feasible to retrain the MF controls for a swap out?

Any advice? Part numbers would be especially helpful and relative costs.

That is exactly what I am looking for. So no issues with the swap and programming you say STG? Full functionality too? At that cost from Suncoast ($1800 plus what 1 hr labor) is still cheaper than some of the custom options I've seen from Techart! Any delays shipping/ordering? Did you use Suncoast or local dealer STG?

For my non-MF paddle only PDK wheel no issues.

Porsche tech said MF/no Sport Chrono version should not be an issue with proper programming.

My GT Sport wheel wasn't a "stock" wheel. Was like 5 week wait from Germany.

Ordered from Luke @ Sunset Porsche Parts on Oregon. Info in post #1
