Easy... The Blue Car. My other car is The Silver Car. My F150 is The Truck. My motorcycle is The Indian... my Cobra is The Cobra because it is also silver and would get confused with The Silver Car. The Range Rover was The Black Car. You get the picture. My wife is The Redhead (unless she is in earshot).

To each his/her own, I think naming a machine is a bit much. I also think vanity plates are stupid. And I abhor white cars.

The Dalliance, after a Patrick McManus story - Dalliance by Patrick McManus

She is my escape from the rest of the world when in her.

Not into naming inanimate objects. Nor assigning them a gender as well.

968 was Hans (parked next to RAM pick-up Franz)

911 is Gretchen, or Gretch, as I’ve taken to calling her.

Neither were assigned by me.....

Just think of it. People name Oceans, mountains, meals, stores, cars, sports, events, Holidays etc.
I name some of my cars too, not all of them though.

I see your point, but most of the things listed above are not personal possessions, or material goods

I'm still trying to decide on if to name or not … still waiting for my license plate which may trigger an idea if the letter imply something cool.

One name that comes to mind is Silbern which translates from German to English as Silver or silvery … of course, the new car is GT Silver

My new Carrera T is also "Hans"!! Do you believe in reincarnation?

My old Audi A6 was "Axel" and my old Ridgeline was "Harold".

Wife's Mercedes GLE350 is "Sadie" and her old Lexus RX330 was "Lexie".

Yup. My Signal Orange 914 was named Pumpkin. My Green 914 was named Froggy. My Black Gray-Market 944 was named Batmobile. Never had names for my Diamond Silver 924T and Guards Red Boxster S that Katrina totaled. My GTS Red Cayenne GTS was named Big Red. My Racing Yellow 981 Cayman S was named Tweety. My Impulse Red Macan Turbo was named Rudy. My Guards Red 991.1 was named Nine, because it was my 9th Porsche. My present 991.2 Black Endurance Racing Edition C2S with X51 PowerKit is named Ten. It's my tenth Porsche, and best ever!
