HI ATL - were you able to make any progress with this? A software patch? reinstall?
thank you
PS: I am going to the dealer in two weeks...

LCW, you are not going to believe this, I was talking to Porsche about this as your message popped up. Long story short, still not resolved. Porsche Product Specialist in PCNA HQ in Atlanta and Porsche Assistance are both involved now. Both have promised to come back soon with a resolution. I am fairly certain others like us are experiencing this problem and have either given up or do not realize their settings are vanishing after a few days. Will keep you posted. If you have better luck with your dealership, please do update us.

as I understand the process, you can't do anything unless there is documentation of the problem with a dealer. and that is exactly the purpose of my visit. I suspect they will turn to PCNA for assistance and to log the problem.
Did the dealer keep your car for a few days to replicate the problem?
I will certainly keep you and the rest of the forum updated. thanks

The PCM in my 991.2 wont retain preset contacts for more than a day or so. No way Toyota or Honda releases software with a glitch like that. However, it's of little importance to me as I usually use my phone in Apple Car Play mode, which then blocks the PCM from even recognizing the phone is attached. Anybody have any idea if the problem is related to the use of specific phones or operating systems? I use an iPhone 6 with whatever iOS is most current.

I also use an iphone 6 with whatever OS is the most current. I don't think it is a trivial issue. Additionally, in my opinion, the software should be bullet proof when used in conjunction with Apple iphones because the demographic group the car is targeted at is more likely to use iphones than other brands of phones .... my uneducated opinion of course...

My C2S is MT and GT Steering Wheel with no controls. Preset contacts would make life so much easier / safer while driving. We should not face any of these issues in a car whose base price is $100k+.

drgek - did you bring the car in to your dealer and have them record the issue with PCNA?
we need to make sure it is reported by as many people as possible for it to be addressed by PCNA.

LCW is absolutely right. Porsche folks told me as recently as yesterday that they have not heard similar complaints from other owners. I keep telling them to check Rennlist but that won't help. Guess most are still exploring the drive and are yet to explore PCM fully.

Our 2011 Cayenne was able to scroll through the presets as well. I just received delivery on 991.2 Targa 4S I am a little surprised as to how the PCM is not that intuitive. I do hope there is a software update soon as I feel that I'm frequently taking my eyes off the road to select stations on the presets.

You can select stations, any stations, AM, FM, Sirius or DISC verbally.
The stations can or can not be pre sets it doesn't matter.
I.E.
"Station 98.7"
"Play Sinatra"
"Play DISC"
Except for any A/C changes , I rarely take my hands off the wheel when driving.-Richard

Voice Control not working
This is an interesting issue as I've realized the voice control is not working. It states that it is unavailable and when I go to Car>Settings>Voice Control, this is greyed out. I've have an email into my SA but any thought?
