Local bad accident. Looks like a 991 Carrera S with a GMG roll cage. It's modded so I figure it might be someone here.

No idea who that was but I'm gonna ask anyone who reads that story and posts in this thread to be respectful. Very sad situation.

Extremely sad!!! Why did they not restrain the child is beyond me, and drive in a spirited manner??? Child should've never been in the car since there were only 2 seats and 3 people.

I feel like I saw another article recently where the roll cage was the only thing that saved the passengers. It's making me re-think the roll cage thing.

Sobering for us that drive a bit sportingly on the twisties.
And for those with kids, please restrain properly even for a little drive around the block.
They probably would not know that unless someone from the car gave them a interview. They just reported on what they saw and probably a police report.

very sad....
I got chills reading this story... I have seen this car driving around SoCal---I do not know the parties involved....My heart and prayers are with them.
A reminder to us all that our sports cars, as good as they are, have the potential to cause us harm when the unexpected happens...
I am guilty of spirited runs on these same roads...I am very lucky that I have not had something happen to me or been the cause of someone else getting hurt....I am reminded that the public roads are not tracks and we are taking huge risks when we drive---even if speed was not a determining factor in this case...a flat tire, a animal entering the road, or any number of elements outside of our control...I plan on behaving more responsibly starting today.
Love and Prayers to the family involved...
