Odd nightmare... Need careful analysis
Had an unsettling dream.
In my dream, the chrome exhaust tips on my 50th anniversary 991 had rotted away overnight, leaving only some forlorn flakes of rust. The disease was also spreading to the rear bumper which makes no sense because plastic doesn't rust. I showed this vehicular blight to my wife but she had no explanation. She was unconcerned, actually, which is sort of upsetting.
As I don't obsess over the car IRL I can only conclude that my subconscious is crying out for help. Please enlighten me as to your interpretation of this dream.
One possibility is that the chrome exhaust tips represent my manhood rotting away as I march off into later middle age. So, symbolically my Johnson is falling off.
Does this mean I need to run out and buy a new Turbo?

In your dream, your dog has been pissing on your tail pipes which caused the rust. The dog is pissed at you because you spend more time with your Porsche than with him. Either that, or your wife has been pissing on the tail pipes, and ... well you know the rest!!

I won't eat in my 911 but I sure would allow a smelly and hairy dog to ride shotgun.

Grunty, your dream is obviously a thinly veiled inducement to get support for a P-car upgrade. You need to do more homework for metallurgical authenticity in this spiel. The exhaust tips on your car are not chrome plated; they’re solid stainless steel and will not rust, pit or disintegrate IRL or in dream life!
Re dogs in a 911. My dog (a Portuguese water dog) rides in the back every day even comes on extended road trips. Consider taking the rear seats out, gives more cargo room and a better home for fido. The seat belts will still be functional and the form fitted, carpeted seat like depressions are way more roomy for a passenger.
