Gt3 .2
I'm new here and I like to order a new gt3 .2
Talked to couple dealers and no one knows
Any specific dates .
And couple of them would take a 1000 to get on a list.
But they don't know.
Which I find funny.
Will .2 gt3 be a 17 or 18 car production.
Any thought would be great.

Try the GT3 forum. There are about 15 threads about this already. Should be one on the front page of that forum.

Three Wheelin'
Good luck. I've been on the waiting list for 7 months. Required a $10K deposit. No one knows anything for sure. Rumor is it'll be a 4.0 NA with an available 6 speed, but no one knows for sure. Allotments are full, so your only chance is buying a slot.

Hi, and Welcome,
Lots of speculation on the next Gen GT3, but as far as I understand no real hard announcements from Porsche on configuration or timing yet. Check around RL, a few threads talking about them, by people who are more in-tune with the action than I am. To actually get one could be a challenge, unless you are on a first name basis with the CEO of Porsche, or have God directly intervene on your behalf.

All it takes is a deposit. Give your dealer a 1 or 2k deposit and when it comes to fruition you will have a shot at it. Waiting for an actual announcement will likely lead you to being behind in the list.

This is all you can really do, just get your name on the list and see what happens. Good Luck!

Quick reply to the questions you posted.
1- You can't get a GT3 without first putting down a deposit, they are refundable so just do it.
2-.2 GT3 will be a model year 2018 car, with first US deliveries in fall of 2017.
3- Most of us who wanted a .2 GT3 put down a deposit with a dealer a full year ago, so if you are just now starting this process, you won't get a .2 GT3 in 2017, but if you call multiple dealers, you might be able to get a .2 GT3 in 2018.
Ordering a GT3 or RS is very different from ordering a regular 911 Carrera, you have to plan way in advance. I have 3 deposits with my porsche dealer for various GT and other special cars.

A 458 is indeed an intoxicating car, as are most Ferrari products are. I also was looking that way, but I came back to Porsche. I went the 991.2 TTS Cab route, as it has 'supercar' performance but it is also a 'regular' DD, IMHO. At the end of the day it all comes down to what makes you happy. Again, good luck on your GT3 search and keep us posted on your progress.
Cheers,

I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about. The .2 GT3 lists are dozens deep already at most dealers, nobody is taking any deposits, and it is expected the market premium is likely going to be large. OP would be lucky to find a dealer that will even put him on the end of a really long list, in a spot that will never see a car. Best approach would be for him to call around to small market dealers in the middle of nowhere and see if he gets lucky.
If one really wants one within the first year of release, at this point they should expect to probably have to buy a flipped car at a material premium. Absent that, plan on waiting until the second year once allocations loosen up.

Agree with above. Realistically the best way to find a short list for .2 GT3 would be to call small dealers in the midwest and hope you get lucky to get on a shorter list for a .2 GT3.
In any case, at this late date the OP is likely looking at 2018 before he could get a new .2 GT3.
OP, unless you are really patient to wait two years, i would just buy a used 991.1 GT3 or 458 now. If you look nationally, there are quite a few 458s and 991.1 GT3s available right now. The nice thing about the .1 GT3 is that most GT3s still have 2-3 years of warranty coverage, but the 458s are down to a year or so, and the older 458s have no warranty left. And Ferraris are very expensive to fix.

And others just don't take no more potential buyers.
So Iam open to get a car a bit later I'm ok with that....no rush.
I feel if i do get on a list I might get a car.
I am hopeful plus my money will be refundable.
Nothing to lose other then waiting .
All you guys been very helpful.

If you have enough money, and are willing to part with it, you can get a spec-to-order GT3 when allocations first become available.
