April 16, 2023.
Colorado Jefferson County highway 126 between Deckers and Buffalo Creek.
This is an excellent drive if you come or go via CO hwy 67 to or from Woodland Park. There are lots of twisties and elevation changes in this area, and the road quality is quite good right now. I told myself I was going to stop for more pictures than this but I was enjoying myself so much I just forgot.
The round trip took me three hours this morning, I had this much time to kill on a Sunday morning only because my wife and daughter are up in Seattle visiting our other daughter at UW.

Easy to get to but hard to find, if that makes sense. Let me know if you'd like any route planning tips - you can definitely build this into a cutoff from I-25 to I-70 in a few different ways.

First real drive of the year, to a trailhead where I led a geology class for a day trip looking at faulted sandstone units at Sand Canyon, part of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. Also lots of cool Ancestral Pueblo culture ruins that date at about 1200 AD. Got home and noticed the odometer is about to roll over to 30k.

there are 11 spokes on that AI wheel. it looks like it created a weird version of the S wheel which has 10 spokes.
