My girlfriend and I just got back from a 3 day get away to the Wildcatter Ranch in Graham, Texas. It's a 1500 acre facility that offers archery, skeet shooting, a pistol/rifle range, horseback riding as well as jeep tours of the grounds. Our get away was perfect, we went in the middle of the week, Wednesday through Friday, and the place was almost empty. We did the archery, skeet shoot and rifle/pistol range, as well as lots of relaxing at the pool and star gazing at night. Much wine was consumed during our stay.

Absolutely no bad choices right there...
I agree. I actually think the marin/sonoma roads are much better than the drive to and around La Honda. There's less traffic, the roads are maintained and there isnt malevolent people soaping the roads. Only thing its missing is that sweet 100 octane gas station.
