I bought my 991 an 05' 997 (6spd). Only 24,500 miles. Fun car!

Love the steering feedback and sound of an NA engine. Intoxicating. I also like the more intimate size of the smaller car. Either way, I love both 911's.

Drove it from Omaha the last 2 days down to FL and it's amazing the feedback I get from passerby's.

I'm with you. SSK. It took me a couple minutes to work out the part and the sizing/scale. At first, it looked to me to be an air vent.

It's what is sounds like. Shortens the movement needed to row the gears.

Haha, not an air vent. You are correct, GT4 shifter. You're just looking at it from a funny angle.

And clear side markers. (no comments on swirls. That will be dealt with).

I have no idea how difficult this is...

Yes.

There are a few threads scattered around about how to remove the console (done that), how to remove the PCM and HVAC controls, and also the shifter itself. I'll pick a time in a few weeks when I can dedicate some time to making sure I don't rush, and also making a write up thread.
