Hi all, was wondering if anyone else is having trouble connecting to CarPlay after updating their iPhone to version 14.7.1 for the operating system? CarPlay worked fine just prior to my update and now it no longer works. Thanks in advance.

I'm at 14.6. Sounds like holding off on updating would be good. I hope you find a solution and report it here.

I haven’t tried mine since updating to 14.7.1, but during a couple of past upgrades I had to delete my existing configuration / connection from the iPhone in settings, general, CarPlay and re-establish them again. Each time it solved the problem. Might be worth a try. Hope this helps.

Even 14.6 screwed up my phone. My phone’s name was changed after the update to 14.6 to “iphone” from Max’s iPhone 12. Weird. This is just another reason to not update to 14.7.1.

My ‘19 911 CarPlay is working under the new update.

Same problem, 2020 Macan Turbo and CarPlay works, but touchscreen within CarPlay is not working. I must do everything from the phone. I have tried deleting the phone and reconnecting, nothing changes. I have also tried both wired and BT, nothing. The touchscreen will allow only touching within the Waze app?! I can't go to menus, I can't change songs, or anything else. I am running latest 14.7.1 as well.

Hi All, Problem solved. I reset my network on the iPhone and tried CarPlay again and now it works. Thanks so much for all of your responses.

‘17 C2 base here. I just tried my iPhone w 14.7.1 and had no issues with CarPlay (did quick check of Waze, Music, and main menu.)
