Default 2013 911 skids while turning. Dealer says normal !!!

Hey Guys, I just bought a CPO 2013 PDK 911 and love the car. It drives like a dream but there is just one problem that is bugging me. When I drive the car out of my parking into the driveway the tires skid. I always back into my parking so I drive out forward and have to make a sharp left or right turn to get into the driveway. In either direction it feels like the tires skid as if on gravel. once i pick up a little speed everything is normal.

I went to the dealer with this and he said that it was normal for a 911 to do this. Somehow I find it hard to believe that a $100K car would have such an issue.

Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Normal, and has nothing to do with the car (and everything to do with physics and temperature). Any car with fat, sticky tires will do this in the winter; it should (mostly?) go away in the summer.

Yup. My RS5 does it way worse than my Porsche, especially if I'm turning when I hit the lip at the end of the driveway.

Skid on gravel, driving over acorns, skidding, jumping, any other words to describe?

Maybe there should be an alert when trying to start a thread that flags these words

Put smaller width tires on the car if it really bothers you...

So I was going to post something like "geez again" but then I thought how would a rookie who doesn't log in everyday have any idea what to search for? Just a thought.... I do like the sticky idea.

I've been educated way beyond my 70 years by the great information found on this forum in the last year!

In all fairness, it comes down to our lousy search engine, again. I can't see how a new-ish Rennlister can find these nuances very easily or efficiently.

I encourage the wiser/more experienced guys to just find a good older post, and copy the link for the newer users, and just call it a day.
