Seriously though, how hard is it at least scan the thread titles on the first page before starting a new one?

Again things have changed but overall the reviews seem to show a preference for the newer version.

My sentiments also. This car will not suffer in the Alps or the little streets of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The final nail in the "911 is a sports car" coffin.

So, the first tests find that it is faster, more responsive, has better handling, returns the old school steering feel, comes with a manual or PDK-S revisions.
This a lot to look past to rehash the sentiment that has accompanied every new Porsche since the 356 was put to bed.

Well, Ive had talks with a 2015 GTS owner who is possibly looking to sell because five months ago he paid $155,000 and now has been told its only worth about $105,000 and $100,000 or less once the 991.2s hit the showrooms.
So..... As much as I like the 991.2, if I can get a killer deal on a 991 I might pick one up.
The flip side of this though is that no matter what the reviews say there will always be die hard NA engine enthusiasts willing to pay a premium for a clean 991.

GTS owners in particular will be fine. They will hold their value better than the regular 911s.
