Changed amber side marker lights to clear LED side marker lights
I easily changed the amber side marker lights to LED clear side marker lights. However, when I turned on the lights, they were amber. I expected when they are turned on, they would be white in color. They were bought online through Braman Motorcars. Part numbers are 991-631-255-05-A and 991-631-255-05-99.
Anyone agree the lights are actually amber when turned on? Or otherwise?

US law dictates that they light up amber.

Agreed. My understanding is that this was done so that the direction of travel of the car could be discerned due to the amber lights on the side-front and the red lights on the side-rear. (Of course, there could be other clues as to the direction of travel, but I didn't write the regulation.)

Thank you to all who responded. I know now that I did not order the wrong item. I thought that the LED color was white when turned on.

What's the concours deduction for this modification? I think it voids your warranty too.

Agree that LED is much cleaner and better looking, no egg yolk look.
