The day is here to pick up Mr. Blau!
I introduced myself back in April to fellow Rennlisters in the Club Coupe thread.
But for those that missed it, I have been a Porsche owner for 10 years. My first Porsche was a 2006 911 Cab. My 2nd was a 2009 911 Turbo Cab, which I miss A LOT. My latest acquisition was a 2011 911 Speedster in Carrara White. And my newest Porsche is a 2016 911 GTS in Club BLAU! Which, I am picking up at the factory in Leipzig in 4 hours.
Needless to say, I can't sleep in anticipation of something I never thought I would have the chance to do. All of my cars were mildly pre owned, and being frugal, I would rather let someone else take the depreciation hit. I figured that if I had the chance at a cool opportunity like this, I needed to take advantage of it. Enter the Club Coupe lottery...
Pics to follow as the next 15 days unfold. Who knows where we will go, but it will be quite an adventure!

Definitely! We will get together when I get back. If you are home on October 18, and I should be back by then as well, go to Waveny in New Canaan for Caffeine and Carburetors. It's always an impressive event. Hopefully, Mr. Blau will be in the USA before December 1st.

Fantastic build...wow and congrats...the cows are properly sacrificed...I have a similar affliction to rarity and bought over half of the cars I have owned over the years one second used...demo cars...who knows what but always a big savings for now CPO and way less for at or under one year old cars...my R8GT was exactly 3 months from its original sale date to me...30K savings. Audi RS cars have been new because I just waited so damn long for the current generation since there was a huge gulf between releases of RS cars (since my 03 RS6) that I just had to do it but my Porsche is back to 1 year old 2014 when I bought it earlier this year with only 2600 miles and yup exactly 30K off its MSRP window sticker I have. It took a huge hit...too bad I spent another 5K plus to put the sport design stuff on it but still ok on it as a 14.
Anyway I bought my Porsche to be a high mileage car other wise a 50th that may still happen because I just love everything about it aesthetically (but could not run up what may happen to it for mileage for work so did not but still thinking about it) but if I even remotely had a chance at one of these things I would have done it. Worth it. Car is fantastic looking and you will always have a smile with it. Never mind the life experience you are about to have.
