Thats 4mm (from wheel offset change) + 2.54mm (from increased tire section width, from wheel width change).

So if you can get a 1/4" rod and it clears your strut and tire w/ room to spare you should be OK

As for outboard fender clearance, that reduces by 1.5mm.
(4mm - 2.54mm)

Therefore, w/o increasing track, you are stuck with the same conservative fender clearance as now.
I believe the front wheel width is the same on both, so the GT3 wheel would sit just 4mm closer to the strut. I would like to think there is enough clearance to accommodate such a small move, but how can I confirm?

That is the case where you probably need to increase track.

GT3 uses same Control Arms (forward link) and Crossmember as us.
However, just about everything else is different (Wishbone, Knuckle, Hub, Upper Strut Mount etc.).

All those different things probably account for the track increase, that requires the extra offset on the GT3 Wheels.

According to what I see here on Elephants Website, you can widen the track with their Lower Control Arm [aka Wishbone] and Camber Plates.

I might look into this track increasing myself.
Also, if I ever got a GTS w/ CL I would want GT3 wheels on it too.
I learn something from every one of your posts. I'm probably not the only one that would appreciate a thread on increasing track similar to your one on upgrading the bose system, even if I never go down that path.

You are 100% right.
I spaced on the GTS w/CL already having the 2.5mm, inboard reduction and outboard increase, due to the 9" CL wheels.
So what I said above is relative to an S w/ 8.5" wheels.

In your case, you loose 4mm (5/32") inboard clearance and gain 4mm outboard clearance.
Still not what you want outboard, but it's only 1.5mm (2/32") less flush, than an S w/ 8.5" wheels.

If you want to test for clearance, just get a 1/4" Dowell Rod and use it as a feeler gauge to check clearance, between your tire and strut.
Even if it fit's tight you will be fine, since its 3/32" more than you need.
You want to have at least that much extra clearance.

I know it is not the same but I had GT3 wheels (8.5"x19"F & 12"x19"R) on an '07 997 C4s and they were really sweet! No issues at all! Got lots of compliments on that car! Sometimes I wish I still had it!

ccjin,

in Porsche Center Bamberg they told me 991 GT3 Wheels were not approved for the GTS by Porsche. In which Porsche Center did you buy the wheels?

Kind regards

Damn - big fan of the GT3 wheels on the GTS. So are these available for purchase or does Porsche require GT3 VINs?

My GTS is lowered with H&R springs ...same 30mm as Gt3 to standart 991

bought the Wheels online and mounted them in my Garage .

Very good comfort not too rough definite better feeling as PASM standart springs.

Good to know they work with the GTS - thanks for posting pictures.

I ordered a set of the GT3 wheels in platinum from Suncoast. Winter tires (Michelin Alpin PA4s) will go on the stock GTS wheels and the Pzeros will go on the GT3s when the car is delivered in December. Will post pictures shortly thereafter.

Just curious are 991 GTS wider bodies than 991 GT3 at the back. These wheels don't look as flush on GTS as they do on GT3's. Or it could be the picture angle

its related to the suspension geometry... GT3 suspension "pushes" the wheels out a tad further.
